Elsewhere on the Monterey, you’ll discover an adjustable octave up/down which can be used alongside any of the pedal’s other sections. With the Monterey, Keeley have brought one of the most iconic sounds in guitar history, kicking and screaming into the modern era.Amazing Features• Variable octave up and down
• The fuzz circuit is full sounding and touch sensitive
• Multi-effects pedal based around Jimi's legendary tones
• Rotary speaker, vibe, and autowah modulation onboard
• Expression pedal input can control mod speed or manual wah
• Rotary cabinet simulation can be used with the rate turned offencased in beautiful graphics! From Hendrix’s iconic vibe sound on ‘Machine Gun’, right through to the wah-defining ‘Voodoo Child’, modulation was always a key part of the great man’s sound. Keeley’s ‘Monterey’ crams all these sounds into one pedal-board friendly unit, alongside some eye-catching graphics too!
The rotary speaker effect utilised cab simulation for an authentic feel, and the vibe sound within this pedal sounds truly organic and polished. You can also try the autowah sounds for a wide and rich filter that’s sure to bring back memories of the golden age of the 60’s.
HUGE FUZZ SOUNDS!The Monterey’s fuzz-circuit is inspired heavily by the two-transistor fuzz sound which Jimi used to incredible effect on classics such as ‘Foxy Lady’ and the timeless ‘Star Spangled Banner’. The fuzz sound inside this pedal is huge, but retains enough high-end to cut through the mix when required.
It’s worth noting too how clear the Monterey remains when you play with less attack, or roll the guitar’s volume off a little. The circuit inside this pedal dishes out any amount of gain you need, no matter if you’re using single coils or humbuckers.
